My Favorite Boiled Cookies

 Ingredients:

3 cups quick oats

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup coca powder

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup butter

1/4 tsp. salt

2tsp. vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

*Wax paper

Directions:
1) Mix sugar, cocoa, salt, milk, and butter in a large saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full rolling boil. 

2) Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add oatmeal, vanilla, and optional nuts. 
3) Stir until cool or reaches proper consistency to drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper,

4) Let dry at room temperature.
